摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, in a case of minimum lift by a lifting/working angle variable mechanism, an output torque between cylinders varies comparatively widely due to slight variation of a lift amount between the cylinders. SOLUTION: This device is provided with the lifting/working angle variable mechanism capable of varying a working angle and a valve lift amount of an intake valve of the plurality of cylinders. In a minimum lift state in which the valve lift amount of the intake valve is not more than a predetermined valueα, a step proceeds from S1 to S2, and a lean operation in which an air-fuel ratio is lean with respect to a stoichiometric air fuel ratio. In an operating condition in which the valve lift amount of the intake valve is more than the predetermined valueα, the step proceeds from S1 to S3, and a feedback control of a fuel supply amount is performed so as to maintain the air-fuel ratio to be in the vicinity of the stoichiometric air fuel ratio.
