PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile apparatus the transfer rate of the communication means of which can be revised depending on a transfer rate of a storage medium or a size of data stored in the storage medium. SOLUTION: A control unit 108 sets the transfer rate of the storage medium 105 to a high speed (480Mbps) when the transfer rate of the storage medium 105 is greater than a reference value A (or a size of data stored in the storage medium 105 is greater than a reference value B). On the other hand, the control unit 108 sets the transfer rate of the storage medium 105 to a full speed (12Mbps) when the transfer rate of the storage medium 105 is not greater than the reference value A (or the size of data stored in the storage medium 105 is not greater than the reference value B).
