The present invention relates to a cutting insert (1d, 1e) for chip removing machining, whereby the cutting insert (1d, 1e) comprises a shaft (3d, 3e) as well as at least a first cutting head (5d, 5e) having a first major cutting edge (6d, 6e). The invention also relates to a tool, in which a cutting insert (1d, 1e) according to the present invention is included. Characteristic of the cutting insert (1d, 1e) according to the present invention is that, seen in planar view of the cutting insert (1d, 1e), a line (L) through the first major cutting edge (6d, 6e) of the first cutting head (5d, 5e) forms a angle of 45 DEG with a first longitudinal centre line (C1) of the shaft (3d, 3e). <IMAGE> |
