METHOD FOR MANAGING ROUTING INFORMATION OF A MULTIPLE PROTOCOL LABEL SWITCHING ROUTER, AND AN APPARATUS THEREOF, CONCERNED WITH MINIMIZING LOAD OF A SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for managing routing information of a multiple protocol label switching router, and an apparatus thereof are provided to minimize load of a system by efficiently updating routing information in a multiple protocol label switching router or delete the routing information. CONSTITUTION: A routing control unit collects routing information of an entry linked with the routing control unit according to a routing protocol for generating a routing table. A routing information managing unit requests the routing information to the routing control unit for receiving the routing information stored in the routing table for generating a whole entry table(S1). The routing information stored in the whole entry table is transmitted to a forwarding engine part(S2). If new routing information is provided, a new entry table is generated based on the new routing information(S3,S4). The new routing information stored in the new entry table is transmitted to the forwarding engine part, and the forwarding engine part responses(S5,S6). It is judged whether routing information is transmitted without missing(S7). If some routing information are missing, the rest of routing information except the missing routing information are deleted from the new entry table(S8).
