The invention relates to a method and system for the specific detection of a microbacterial tuberculosis (M. tuberculosis) in a biological sample, a difference being made, in particular between M. tuberculosis and other elements of M. tuberculosis complex , i.e. Microbacterium bovis (M.bovis), Microbacterium bovis BCG (M.bovis BCG), Microbacterium africanum (M.africanu m) and Microbacterium microti (M.microti) based on a SNP in a narGHJI promoter.
