<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording medium which can satisfy color development properties, beading nature and absorbency simultaneously and obtain a photographic picture quality rapidly, especially, a recording medium best-suited for inkjet recording with a pigmented ink. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the inkjet recording medium, when it is formed by providing an ink receiving layer on a support, a coating liquid prepared by using at least an aqueous dispersion obtained by dispersing an amorphous silica with a specific surface area of 50 to 150 m<SP>2</SP>/g by the BET method to a 90% volume cumulative particle diameter of 0.2 to 0.4 μm and a binding agent, is applied to the surface of a support, and thus the ink receiving layer is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
