<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium which shows high surface strength in the coating layer, does not generate smearing, and has high water-resisting strength after printing; and is free from ink bleeding even during printing, especially an ink jet recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The recording medium is manufactured by applying a coating liquid containing (A) a polyvinyl alcohol resin with an acetoacetic acid ester group, (B) a chlorohydroxyoxo zirconium and (C) an inorganic powder to the surface of a base material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
