<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel reformer in which the temperature distribution in the reactor is uniform and which is excellent in fuel reforming performance. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel reformer is provided with a fuel reforming catalyst containing a compound of which the heat conductivity is ≥50 W/(m×K). The fuel reformer can transfer heat generated at the partial oxidation reaction in the upstream side of the fuel reformer to the downstream side effectively. Thus, the temperature distribution within the fuel reformer is uniformalized to obtain a fuel reformer excellent in fuel reforming performance. Especially, the fuel reforming catalyst with more excellent fuel reforming performance is obtained and a hydrogen gas is generated efficiently when the fuel reforming catalyst is obtained by having at least one precious metal element selected from platinum, rhodium, palladium and ruthenium supported and firing the resultant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
