<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately mount an optical device and an optical fiber without conducting alignment. <P>SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of an optical communication module (1) in which an optical device (2a) and an optical transmission path (3) are optically connected, a tapered through-hole (101a) is provided on a substrate (100) and the device (2a), whose geometric center is approximately matches with an optical transmission part, is stored in the through-hole (101a).
