<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travelling speed detection method for a mobile object terminal having a circuit configuration allowing simple speed detection in radio communication, and to provide the mobile object terminal having a travelling speed detection means. <P>SOLUTION: An AFC (Automatic Frequency Control)/AGC (Automatic Gain Control) control section 103 generates a carrier wave frequency control voltage, an oscillator (TCXO (Temperature Controlled Crystal Oscillator) or the like) frequency control voltage, and an AGC control voltage for controlling AGC based on information from a reception data processing section 106 or the like, and outputs them to a reception circuit 102. The output from the reception circuit 102 is inputted to an ADC (Analog-to-Digital Converter) 104. The ADC section 104 inputs a reception signal converted to digital from analog to a speed detection circuit 105. The speed detection circuit 105 detects speed to output speed information. The reception signal converted into a digital value by the ADC 104 is inputted to a level integration circuit 105a. The level integration result of the output is outputted to a peak value detection circuit 105b. The peak value detection circuit 105b inputs detected information to an analysis section 105c.
