<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strap antenna which can secure a sufficient receiving sensitivity for signals of frequencies over a wide band without requiring a sensitivity control operation. <P>SOLUTION: Two conductor lines 6 are connected to a terminal on the balanced mode side of a balun 4 for conversion from a balanced mode to an unbalanced mode and further, a loading coil Lc is connected to each of tops of the two conductor lines. The loading coil Lc becomes high impedance for the signal of a specific frequency (200MHz, for example,) higher than a preset fundamental frequency (100MHz, for example,) so that the loading coil Lc itself is disconnected from the conductor lines 6, 6 in the manner of high frequency to function only the conductor lines 6 as a dipole antenna, and becomes low impedance for the signal of the fundamental frequency (100MHz, for example,) so that the conductor lines 6 and the loading coil Lc itself are functioned as the dipole antenna.
