PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric transformer which is capable of effectively suppressing temperature rise, does not easily generate damage, and does not allow drop of efficiency during operation, through close contact of a heat radiating material and piezoelectric transformer element. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric transformer is provided with a piezoelectric transformer element 1 and a case 5 for accommodating this piezoelectric transformer element 1. In this piezoelectric transformer element 1, a heat radiating material 9 is arranged in the case 5, and this heat radiating material 9 is not placed in close contact with the piezoelectric transformer element 1.
