PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce vibration and noise and improve the life of a bearing and to provide an AC servo motor having a small loss and high efficiency. SOLUTION: The AC servo motor includes a shaft, a rotor having a permanent magnet mounted on the outer periphery of the shaft, and a stator having a stator core including a plurality of poles and slots and an armature winding. In this AC servo motor, the stator is formed in a combination structure of six poles and nine slots, and the ratio of the inner diameter of the stator core to the outer diameter of the stator core is set to a range of 0.40 to 0.53.
