PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a beam width in a lens antenna using a dielectric lens. SOLUTION: The dielectric lens 14 is equipped with a projecting portion 20 which is formed while being protruded on the side of a radiation plane and whose upper surface is flat, and flat base surfaces 22 formed on both the sides of the projecting portion 20 on the side of the radiation plane, and an upper surface 24 of the projecting portion 20 is approximately parallel to the base surfaces 22. Further, a lateral side 26 of the projecting portion 20 has a flat portion, and that flat portion is approximately perpendicular to the base surfaces 22 and the upper surface 24. When such a step is formed, as a result of experimental investigation, it is discriminated that the beam width is expanded on a surface including the cross section with the step formed thereon.
