PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity and ensuring less residual color, and to provide an image forming method for the same. SOLUTION: In the silver halide photographic sensitive material, dye chromophores are adsorbed in multiple layers on the surfaces of silver halide grains, and at least one residual color reducer containing one or more aromatic hydrocarbon rings or aromatic heterocycles is contained.
