PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color display device having luminous and clear color and display quality near to that of a paper display medium. SOLUTION: The electrophoresis display device has a unit cell provided with one display electrode, two collect electrodes and two kinds of particles showing electrostatic charge polarities and colors respectively different from each other and comprising a driving means capable of forming a state in which the two kinds of charged particles are collected on the respectively different collect electrodes, a state in which either one kind of particles are disposed on the display electrode and the other kind of particles are collected on the collect electrodes and an intermediate state therebetween.
