PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably carry out precise sorting, when sorting signals using each characteristic item of a received signal waveform. SOLUTION: In this signal analyzer, only a portion of a processing unit set preliminarily is read out from a received signal waveform data stored in a waveform memory part 3 by the first waveform data selecting part 4a, in a characteristic item measuring part 4, and the items such as an amplitude, a reception time and a carrier wave frequency are measured/analyzed. Only a waveform data portion consistent with analytical objective items is selected thereafter. The respective characteristic items are measured by respective characteristic measuring parts 4b-1, 4b-2, 4b-3 for the amplitude, the frequency and a phase to extract characteristics of the signal from the selected waveform, in the signal analyzer. In the second waveform selecting part 4c, signal characteristic extraction results of the respective characteristic items are totalized to execute statistical analysis, the waveform data portions suitable for sorting processing for the signal are selected, based on an analytical result, and are transmitted to a signal sorting part to be sorted by comparison/collation with an accumulated data in the past.
