PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform easy lubrication between a shaft and a bearing by a simple structure without making a shaft hole communicate with a lubricating oil pump. SOLUTION: In a structure in which a cam shaft 13 is supported between a cylinder block 2 and a gear case 26 of an engine 1, grooves 26b, 26c are formed on an upper part and a lower part of the shaft hole 26a of the gear case 26 in an axial direction. Thereby, when a conventional lubricating device for an engine has a constitution in which a bearing is omitted so as to reduce cost, lubricating oil from the lubricating oil pump is required to be pumped from a shaft center to the shaft hole to perform lubrication between the shaft and the bearing.
