PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic sliding door closing device for disaster prevention, not impairing esthetic appearance in the periphery of the sliding door, and simply assembled above an opening part with good fitting positional accuracy to keep good operational accuracy of automatically closing the sliding door. SOLUTION: This automatic sliding door closing device A for disaster prevention is composed of a slider 20 slidably provided on a guide rail 16, and a drive control unit Y controlling the drive of the slider. The drive control unit is unitized by integrally assembling an energizing means (a) to which a slider is connected through a wire (w) and energized in the closing direction of pulling the sliding door D and a locking control mechanism (b) for locking the energizing force in the closing direction of the energizing means to the slider in the normal time when a fire detection signal is not received from a fire detector, and unlocking the energizing force in the closing direction of the energizing means to the slide, whereby the energizing force in the closing direction is applied to pull the slider in the abnormal time when a fire detection signal is received.
