PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel pipe pile with an under-reamed metal fitting at a low cost in the steel pipe pile, in which a large bearing capacity is obtained at the front end of the pile in the case of driving into the soft ground or the like and the ground or the like having a large number of openings. SOLUTION: In the steel pipe pile 2 pressed into the ground by rotation, the plate-shaped under-reamed metal fitting 1 having a sectional area larger than that of the pile is fixed at the front end of the pile 2, excavating edges 5 excavating the ground under the front end of the pile 2 are fixed to the metal fitting 1 so as to be suspended and the edges are formed so that soil on the outer peripheral side of the metal fitting is collected under the front end of the pile on the center side by rotating the pile. The metal fitting is formed of a square plate, the edges are formed of downward bending triangular sections at four corners at right angles from the plate and angles formed by bending lines of the excavating edge and adjacent sides are formed at approximately 50°at excavating edge front-end sides in a view from the direction of a rotation of the pile.
