PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag capable of easily obtaining a predetermined strength even if a woven cloth with low denier is used. SOLUTION: In this air bag, a gas introduction port 3 for introducing gas emitted from an inflator, and a discharge port 4 for conditioning pressure in an air bag body 1 are opened at one part of a lower base cloth 1b of the air bag body 1 formed by stitching at least two upper and lower base clothes 1a, 1b into a bag. A first reinforcing cloth 6 is overlaid on the lower base cloth 1b in a manner to surround a periphery of the gas introduction port 3 and cover a periphery of the discharge port 4, and an inner periphery and an outer periphery of the first reinforcing cloth 6 are stitched to the lower base cloth 1b. A tensile force generated when the air bag body 1 is inflated and deployed approximately uniformly acts on the first reinforcing cloth 6 stitched to the lower base cloth 1b at the inner and outer peripheries, so as to easily obtain a predetermined strength even if the base cloth with low denier is used for the air bag body 1.
