PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire effectively preventing fatigue damage in a shoulder portion even when used over a long period under a high load. SOLUTION: In the pneumatic tire in which a belt layer 6 is buried on an outer peripheral side of a carcass layer 4 in a tread part 1, in an area between a belt projection position P<SB>1</SB>, which is specified as an intersection of a straight line which is parallel to a tire axis and passes through a central point of an outer periphery and a tire outer surface, and a tire maximum width position P<SB>2</SB>, a plurality of protrusions 7 projecting from the tire outer surface are intermittently formed along a tire peripheral direction.
