PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beam adjusting device for an image formation apparatus which enables beam adjustment at the image formation apparatus of a finished product, is easy to separate from the image formation apparatus, and can measure by a measurement precision of the same level as that in the case of a measurement by a scanning optical unit single body. SOLUTION: An attachment means 31a which can be engaged with an attachment means 31b of the image formation apparatus 60 is set integrally with the beam adjusting device 10. The beam adjusting device 10 is set detachably to the attachment means 31b via the attachment means 31a within a space occupied by a photoreceptor unit separated from the image formation apparatus 60. Moreover, when the beam adjusting device 10 is fitted in the space via the attachment means 31a and 31b, a measurement position is disposed at a position corresponding to a photoreceptor surface of the photoreceptor unit.
