PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for bending a taper tube, which has no need to prepare many molds with various curvatures required for the taper tube, and no worry about generating scratches on the tube, and to provide a compact apparatus for bending the taper tube at low cost with good processability. SOLUTION: The bending means 21 is set on a truck 20 which can move flexibly on a floor surface 13, and has a pair of reactive force receivers 25, 26 and a plurality of split type bending molds 27 which are arranged opposite to these receivers and can be changed. The split type bending mold 27 has a groove cross section with a curvature defined by the tube diameter of the taper part 11, and the bending curvature of the tube is decided according to the curvature of the cross section. The base side of the tube 12 is fixed on the floor surface 13 by using of the bending means 21, and the truck 20 is arranged to place the bending means 21 at the bending starting position, and the bending position is moved in order and the split type bending mold 27 is changed according to the bending position, and the floor position of the tip part of the tube 12 is determined and the pushing stroke and/or force of the split type bending mold 27 is controlled to bend the taper part 11 for the prescribed shape.
