PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abdominal respiration helping device capable of obtaining the relaxation and appropriate muscle movement of abdominal muscles by urging abdominal respiration by the strength of low-frequency electric signals. SOLUTION: A belt 10 which can be wound around and mounted on an abdominal part is provided with an electrode 14 facing an abdominal muscle part and the low-frequency electric signals are impressed from a low-frequency pulse generation means to the electrode 14. Also, the low-frequency electric signals are outputted weakly in a period equivalent to the time of the discharge of the abdominal respiration and outputted strongly in a period equivalent to the time of intake corresponding to the output of a respiration timing generation means.
