The invention relates to the mechanical engineering, in particular to the internal combustion engines. The internal combustion engine contains two pairs of cylinders with common combustion chamber and pistons, coupled with the individual crankshafts, the kinematic coupling between them being made in the relation 1:2.The combustion chambers are formed of cylinders, the pistons of which are joined with the crankshafts, having the possibility of accelerated rotation, the cylinders of such pistons are provided with scavenging channels for communication with a pair of crankcases and with the scavenging ports or cylinders, the pistons of which are joined with the crankshafts, having the possibility of decelerated rotation, at the same time the pistons have the possibility of displacing in reciprocally opposite directions.
