The measurement camera (2) has a landscape format rectangular field of view (5) and is aimed at solid objects e.g. trees (1) in a landscape (23). The camera has a lens forming an optical image (19) and a distance measuring system (20), and is held on a swivel mounting on a tripod. A data conductor cable (22) is plugged into the back of the camera (3). The cable is connected to a computer (32) with a template store (35) and a video monitor (33). The screen (6) shows an image (1a) with a coordinate display (8). A joystick control (34) is connected to the computer. |
