New microcapsules (A), of average diameter 0.0001-5 mm and consisting of a shell membrane and a matrix containing an active agent (I), are obtained by: (a) forming a matrix; (b) optionally dispersing the matrix in an oil phase; and (c) treating with an aqueous solution and optionally thus removing the oil phase. New microcapsules (A), of average diameter 0.0001-5 mm and consisting of a shell membrane and a matrix containing an active agent (I), are obtained by: (a) forming a matrix from gel formers, anionic polymers, polyalkylene glycol and (I); (b) optionally dispersing the matrix in an oil phase; and (c) treating with an aqueous solution of synthetic cationic polymer and optionally thus removing the oil phase. In a variant the synthetic cationic polymer is used in step (a) and the anionic polymer in step (c). An independent claim is included for the above production method for (A). |
