<p>The fuel injection installation is for direct injection of fuel into at least one combustion chamber (1) of an internal combustion engine. It has at least one fuel injection valve (5) for each combustion chamber that can be inserted at a spray section (4) into an assigned bore designed on the cylinder head of the engine. There is a fuel distribution pipe (20) which has a fuel outlet opening (27) for each injection valve that can be joined to the fuel inlet opening (29) of the valve. There is a tubular intermediate piece (28) located between the fuel inlet opening of each valve and the assigned fuel outlet opening. It can be connected to the fuel inlet opening of the assigned valve and the fuel outlet opening of the fuel distribution pipeline in sealing fashion. It is movable in preset limits. Thus the supply section (30) of the valve through the intermediate piece can be mounted flexibly on the fuel distribution pipeline.</p> |
