Method for refining aqueous nickel chloride solution

A method for refining an aqueous nickel chloride solution containing zinc and other impurity elements which can form a complex with chlorine which comprises a first step of adjusting nickel (Ni) concentration, oxidation-reduction potential and pH to remove impurity elements and a second step of adsorbing zinc from the solution on an anion exchange resin. The nickel concentration may be 90 to 130 g/l, the oxidation reduction potential may be 600 to 1200 mV and the pH may be 4 to 6. A further step of treating the solution with activated carbon may be included prior to the second step.
