<p>The invention relates to a device for separating a first liquid of a certain density from a raw material. The device comprises, on one hand, a trough (2) for receipt of the raw material as well as a secondary liquid having a higher density than the first liquid, and, on the other hand, a connectable lid sealing against the trough, which lid together with the trough can form a closed container (1), the lid being in the form of an upwardly tapering cap (3) having a top part (4) in which there is an outlet (5) and in which the first liquid can float up and be accumulated on top of the secondary liquid.
