PURPOSE:To provide the subject production method capable of producing astaxanthin by an extremely ordinary culture device in high yield and greatly improving a purifying process without admixing impurities. CONSTITUTION:A bacterium of the genus Agrobacterium capable of producing astaxanthin is cultured in a medium and astaxanthin is collected from the culture mixture to provide a production method for astaxanthin. |
