PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a solid polymer fuel cell capable of improving binding strength of a catalyst layer without adding or adding only a small amount of a binder, preventing occurrence of cracks at the same time, an consequently, improving power generation performance. SOLUTION: In this solid polymer fuel cell having the catalyst layer carrying a catalytic substance and the polymer electrolyte, the catalyst layer contains a fibrous materials such as carbon whiskers and hydrophilic fibers. |
