<p>In a process to enhanced the strength of fleece, the fleece (2) is transported by a first conveyer belt through a mangle compression gap formed by two contra-rotating sieve drums. The fleece is pre-strengthened by hydrodynamic action imparted by the first sieve drum. While still under compression, the fleece is then modified on both sides by water jets. Also claimed is a commensurate assembly.</p> |
