摘要 The procedure consists of producing liquid smoke or charcoal from the pyrolysis of organic materials, preferably of vegetable origin, in a reactor with a sealed and heated chamber containing an auger. Auger is re-injected back into the reactor. The material is heated in the chamber to a preferable temperature of 300 to 400 degreesC to provoke its pyrolysis as it is moved along by the rotating auger, with the consumed organic material and smoke extracted at the other end of the auger. The organic material can be chips of wood, especially that used for flavouring or ageing wines or spirits. Prior to pyrolysis it is dried by pre-heating, preferably in a specific electrically-heated zone of the reactor, and the smoke produced by pyrolysis is extracted and condensed in a special condenser.
