FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for refining technical benzene sulfonyl chloride that can be used for synthesis of medicinal preparations and agricultural chemical agents. Method for refining involves treatment of technical benzene sulfonyl chloride with 15-20% hydrochloric acid inhibited with quaternary ammonium salts. The refining process is carried out at stirring in nitrogen flow, at temperature 5-20oC and in the mass ratio benzene sulfonyl chloride : an aqueous solution of inhibited hydrochloric acid = 1.0:(1-1.5) followed by separation of purified benzene sulfonyl chloride and its treatment with 1-2% sodium hydroxide solution in nitrogen flow at stirring in their mass ratio = 1.0:(0.3-0.5). ^ EFFECT: simplified technology of process, reduced consumption of hydrochloric acid. ^ 3 ex |
