A reciprocating double acting compressor is disclosed. It uses the extraordinary force and the linear and reciprocating movement of a simple machine-like screw jack, that allows the overcome of a very big resistant forces like the one developed by the pressure of the compressed air on the surface of a piston during the stroke of compression, with a fairly little torque, that is applied on the screw of the said screw jack, by small motors, comparing with the bigger motors, that are used with conventional compressor s producing the saine flow. This compressor can be build with one cylinder, bu t the linear and reciprocating movement of its screw of the screw jack, allows the installation of any number of cylinders on both of its ends without any difficulty according to the configurations of every compressor, and the needed flow of compressed air.</ SDOAB>
