FIELD: environment protection, particularly to protect banks of rivers, lakes and other water pools. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves arranging drainage members in bank body to reduce subterranean water level and to prevent outer ground suffosion, wherein drainage members include intermediate and blind sections arranged in one or several layers and each section comprises working and drainage parts. For drainage members forming portals are made in bank slope and drainage parts of drainage member sections are created so that drainage parts are inclined towards river to provide water removal by its gravity. Then working parts are formed along river shoreline in river stream and against river stream directions so that working parts create single drainage member also including extreme blind sections. Drainage chutes extend from each portal down the slope to provide organized subterranean water withdrawal from drainage member into river. When drainage members are arranged in several layers drainage members are formed starting with upper layer. Vertical slots filled with coarse material, for instance with crushed stone or with rock, are directed from slope surface to working parts of drainage members. ^ EFFECT: increased slope stability due to reducing subterranean water level in bank body and due to prevention of ground suffosion in bank shoreline area. ^ 2 cl, 2 dwg |
