PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regenerating device for reel and a regenerating method of reel which enable a tape reel to be regenerated to be reused by rewinding without being contaminated with matter. SOLUTION: A tape reel 21 and a take-up reel 22 are housed and arranged in an internal space 30 of a main unit 13. On the internal space 30, a separating material 40 for separating a tape reel housing space 31 from a take-up reel housing space 40 is arranged. An air intake 45 for intaking fresh air is arranged for the tape reel housing space 31 and an air suction unit 46 for suctioning the internal space 30 is arranged for the take-up reel housing space 32. Dust such as magnetic powder, and the like, generated during a process in which a magnetic tape 20 is rewinded from the tape reel 21 to the take-up reel 22 is suctioned and exhausted by an air flow leading from the air intake 45 to the air suction unit 46.
