PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal container reinforcing method capable of being practiced when a container is working in an empty or filled condition. SOLUTION: A carbon fiber fabric 3 bonded on the outside surface of a metal container 1 surrounds the metal container 1 in its height direction at least partially. The fabric is arranged in the form of a plurality of bands. Most of the plurality of the bands extend covering the total periphery of the container 1 in a direction which roughly crosses the axis 5 of the container 1 at right angles.
