PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent freezing inside piping and to prevent water discharge delay in fire extinguishing equipment. SOLUTION: In the fire extinguishing equipment provided with secondary side piping 2 connected to closed type sprinkler heads 1 and filled with water at normal time, a temperature detection means 21 composed of a fire sensor is provided near the secondary side piping 2. Also, on the base end side of the secondary side piping, a normally closed water discharge valve 5 is connected. Then, when the temperature of the temperature detection means 21 lowers to a predetermined value (3°C) for freezing prevention, by opening the water discharge valve 5 and discharging the water from the secondary side piping 2, freezing of the piping in cold districts is prevented. Also, a normally closed control valve 7 is provided on the base end side of the secondary side piping, and when the temperature of the temperature detection means 21 rises to a predetermined value for filling the water, the control valve 7 is opened, the secondary side piping is filled with the water and returned to a wet state and the water discharge delay is prevented.
