<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food packaging material enabling a rice ball to be wrapped with a sheet-like food such as a sea weed at the time of eating it after a package is unsealed and further having a luxurious appearance. <P>SOLUTION: The food packaging material is a bag-like food packaging material in which a sheet-like food 5 wound around a rice ball 4 is stored in a storing section 3 between an outer film 1 and an inner film 2. The outer film 1 has a front surface layer section 6 made of a paper sheet or non-woven fabric. The front surface layer section 6 has a heat sealing characteristic. An unsealing operation piece 14 is arranged at the outer film 1 and at the same time the inner film 2 can be formed by a left section 2a and a right section 2b that can be separated.
