<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a feeling of an operation in response to the kind of an operating screen to an operator. <P>SOLUTION: This track ball 10 comprises a ball 11, an image sensor 12 for detecting the movement of the ball, first driving means 13x, 14x, 15x and 16x for rotating the ball in X-direction, and second driving means 13y, 14y, 15y and 16y for rotating the ball in Y-direction.
