PROTEIN FOR VACCINE TO HELICOBACTER PYLORI, GENE ENCODING THE SAME, VACCINE USING THE SAME, AND METHOD FOR USING THEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protein for vaccines inhibiting the urease activity of Helicobacter pylori in combination with the function of inhibiting the proliferation of the bacteria, to provide a gene encoding the protein, and to provide respective methods for using the protein and the gene.

SOLUTION: The protein comprises a sequence in a specific domain among amino acid sequences near the active site in the urease of Helicobacter pylori. It has been confirmed that the protein inhibits the urease activity of Helicobacter pylori by immunoreaction and forms an antibody inhibiting the proliferation of the bacteria.
