PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a write protect processing apparatus capable of easy write protection control to the entire of a disk that is not accommodated in a case and is rewritable. SOLUTION: The write protect processing apparatus is provided with a reception means (8) for receiving control information for controlling write protection; read means (1, 2, 4, 5, 6) for reading the control information from an information storage medium, based on the control information; write means (1, 2, 4) for rewriting one portion of the control information; and a write protection control means (8) for storing one rewritten portion into the information storage medium for executing write protection processing.
