CAMERA SYSTEM, METHOD FOR ACTUATING CAMERA SYSTEM, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system having a collapsible optical system which can drastically shorten an activation period of time, and to provide a method for actuating the camera system, and a program used therefor. SOLUTION: Just after the system is actuated by power-on operation, a CPU 5 outputs a control signal for immediately starting extending a lens group 1 outward to a lens control block 43 according to a boot program which does not include an OS. While the lens group 11 is extended outward thereafter, preparatory processing needed for other initialization such as initialization of a CCD imaging system 3 is carried out according to a main program including an OS. The start time can greatly be shortened by carrying out the extending operation of the lens group 11 and the preparatory processing for other initialization in parallel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
