PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil which has an improved oil returning property when carbon dioxide is used as a cooling medium while it maintains lubricity and sealing properties for a compressor. SOLUTION: As an oil for a compressor using carbon dioxide as a cooling medium, two or more oils having different compatibility with carbon dioxide are mixed. To maintain lubricity and sealing properties for a compressor, when an oil which has high lubricity but low compatibility with carbon dioxide is used, even in an compressor operation condition in which the oil returning property is deteriorated, the lubricity and sealing properties can be maintained because an oil having high compatibility with carbon dioxide returns to the compressor.
