PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle recording medium jacket display device which can read information about recorded contents of the recording medium from its jacket without handling a case for recording medium. SOLUTION: The on-vehicle recording medium jacket display device 10 is provided with a holder 12 provided inside a vehicle and holding a case 11 for recording medium to which a jacket 20 indicating information corresponding to recorded contents of a recording medium 17 to be housed is attached, an image pickup part 13 obtaining pictures of the jacket 20 of the case 11 held by the holder 12, a control part 14 controlling operation of the image pickup part 13, and a display part 15 outputting the pictures obtained by the image pickup part 13 under control of the control part 14.
