IMAGING UNIT AND METHOD FOR DRIVING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a characteristic variation in each charge detection circuit causes an output error in signal voltage to be the occurrence factor of stripe-shaped noise when a configuration provided with a plurality of charge detection circuits is provided. SOLUTION: An imaging unit comprises an S/H circuit 9 which sequentially reads from the plurality of charge detection circuits by a horizontal scanning circuit and samples the signal voltage outputted from an output amplifier 6 without transferring signal charge by a charge transferring part, a memory 10 which sequentially stores the signal voltage sampled by the S/H circuit 9 as memory voltages (Vm1 to Vm4), and a signal processing circuit 8 which transfers the read signal charge from a photoelectric conversion part to the charge transferring part and uses the signal voltages that are sequentially read from the plurality of charge detection circuits by the horizontal scanning circuit and outputted from the output amplifier 6 and a memory signal stored in the memory 10 to perform prescribed signal processing.
