PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric razor which can increase the hair cutting sounds by lengthening the arch-shaped blades between adjacent slit grooves of a cutter in which the slit grooves are arranged side by side. SOLUTION: In the electric razor, an arch-shaped cutter 1 having the slit grooves 12 reciprocates and gets the external surface thereof sliding in contact with the internal surface of the cutter 20 to cut the hair. The slit grooves 12 are arranged side by side to the other side wall 11a from one side wall 11a passing through an upper curved wall 11b on an arch-shaped sheet metal 11 as the main body of the cutter 1 to form arch-shaped blades 14 between the adjacent slit grooves 12 and the cutter 1 is connected to a drive element 41 reciprocating in the body 4 of the apparatus through a joint 3. A mounting part 16 for mounting the inner blade 1 on the joint 3 is provided at each of the lower ends at both ends of the inner blade 1 in the direction of the reciprocation thereof while the lower end part 15a of the blade 14a formed at the central part of the cutter 1 in the direction of the reciprocation thereof is disposed below the lower end part 15b of the blade 14b formed above the mounting part 16 of the cutter 1.
